Urge State Speaker to Block Voting on Broad Child Agency Placement Bill

CAIR-logo(SOUTHFIELD, MI, 10/2/2013) – CAIR-MI today joined other advocates against the introduction of Michigan House Bill No. 4991, which would grant child placement agencies the right to object to placing children in particular foster homes based upon their religious or moral convictions. This bill if it becomes law would not guarantee Muslim children placement into Muslim foster homes.
