(FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, 9/13/17) -- The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today announced that CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid has been chosen as a Senior Fellow for the Auburn Seminary.
Senior Fellows are individuals recognized as being prominent faith-based leaders who speak to social justice issues. Fellows include Reverend Dr. William Barber II, pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, N.C., and Rabbi Sharon Brous of the IKAR Jewish community in Los Angeles.
CAIR-MI is a chapter of America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
