CAIR-MN, Community Leaders to Respond to Trump's Jerusalem Policy Change

(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 12/6/2017) -- Later today, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN), joined by Al Aqsa Institue and the Minnesota Chapter for American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), will hold a joint press conference to respond to President’s Trump’s announcement on the status of Jerusalem.

CAIR is calling on Americans of all backgrounds to contact their elected representatives to oppose Trump’s reckless change of policy on Jerusalem.

In a statement reacting to the president’s expected announcement on Jerusalem, CAIR-MN Executive Director Jaylani Hussein said:

“President Trump is drastically changing a long-standing Middle East policy that was supported by world leaders and members of his own party. This new policy will harm our relationships with our Muslim allies and damage our nation’s strategic foreign policy interests."
