CAIR-Kansas to Call for Hate Crime Probe of Wichita Attack on Muslim, Hispanic Men by Assailant Shouting ‘Trump, Trump, Trump’

Muslim civil rights group urges Donald Trump to repudiate alleged attack apparently committed by one of his supporters

(KANSAS CITY, KS, 4/13/16) – On Monday, March 14, the Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kansas) will hold a noon news conference on the campus of Wichita State University to call on state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate an allegedly bias-motivated attack on a Muslim and a Hispanic man by an assailant reportedly shouting “Trump, Trump, Trump.”

A Muslim student at Wichita State University reported to CAIR-Kansas that the alleged attacker punched, pushed and kicked the two men while shouting racial abuse such as “n**ger” and “brown trash.” The attacker, a white man in his 20s or 30s, also reportedly shouted his support for leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. According to the Muslim student, the attacker shouted “Trump will win,” “We will make America great again” along with “Trump, Trump, Trump.”
