#CAIRSnapshots Video: In 2017, CAIR Files Legal Challenge to Trump’s ‘Muslim Ban,’ Helps Utah Imam on No-Fly List Return to U.S.

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/4/19) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today released the latest “CAIR Snapshots” video highlighting a quarter century of “defending, educating and empowering the American Muslim community.”

Today’s snapshot features how in 2017, CAIR announced the filing of a federal lawsuit on behalf of more than 20 named and “john doe” individuals challenging the constitutionality of President’s Trump’s recent “Muslim ban” executive order.

The #CAIRSnapshots campaign is just one of many activities and initiatives leading up to CAIR’s 25th anniversary gala in Washington, D.C., on November 9.

Online registration is open for the gala with special guest Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), political commentator Dean Obeidallah, activist and community leader Linda Sarsour, State Representative Movita Johnson-Harrell (D-PA), and motivational speaker Abderraoof Alkhawaldeh.
