(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/27/15) – This evening, the Maryland Outreach Department of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will partner with Maryland Muslim leaders to hold the state’s first “Youth Unity Event.”
This event, which brings together representatives from mosques across the state, is intended to provide a space for young Muslims to express their concerns and fears in the aftermath of the Chapel Hill shootings and other incidents targeting Muslims across the nation.
