In this disturbing act of vandalism, a hate-filled poster was glued to the congregation's main building by a white supremacist/neo-Nazi group. The Williamson County Sheriff's Department has increased patrols and is investigating the incident.
"It is deeply disturbing that we should see another act of anti-Semitic hate targeting a vulnerable community here in Central Texas," said CAIR-Austin Executive Director Maira Sheikh. "We stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors and ask lawmakers and law enforcement authorities to be vigilant in addressing hate crimes and hate-fueled acts stemming from white supremacist, white nationalist and neo-Nazi groups."
Individuals in Central Texas are asked to report any bias incidents to police and to CAIR-Austin at (512) 640-9421, or by filing a report at: http://tinyurl.com/CAIRAustinReport
