(SANTA CLARA, CA, 8/15/07) - On Wednesday, August 15, the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) and the Islamic Center of the East Bay (ICEB) will host a news conference to announce a reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of arsonists who torched the mosque.
Representatives from the Antioch City Council, the Antioch Police Department and from Senator Tom Torlakson's office will also be making statements, along with local interfaith clergy and community leaders.

Fire officials say there were four separate attempts to start the blaze, which caused an estimated $200,000 in damage. The act is being investigated as an act of arson. Mosque officials said there was also a break-in at the center several days ago, as well as previous acts of vandalism, including shots being fired through windows and walls of the center.
