CAIR-Houston: Spring Men Charged in Mosque Bombing

Two Spring men have been arrested and charged in the July Fourth bombing of
a mailbox at a Spring mosque.

Jody David Ferguson, 31, and Arthur Menno Mann IV, 30, both of the 9500
block of Dundalk, are charged with possession of an illegal weapon, a
third-degree felony. Both men were arrested and charged last month. Both
have been released on $5,000 bail each…

Authorities said the men used a "dry ice bomb" to destroy the mailbox at
the mosque.

No one was injured. Children playing outside the mosque saw a man place a
device in the mailbox and saw a license plate of a car in which he and
another man drove away...

Najat Elsayed of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Houston said
the incident should be taken very seriously.

"Regardless if (the bomb) was simple and easy to make, there's rules and
regulations," she said. "We're in an environment today that doesn't allow
anybody to play games with such things."

On June 18, the day an American engineer Paul Johnson was beheaded in Saudi
Arabia, a package of headless fish was left near the mosque's entrance
