CAIR-NY Condemns Anti-Muslim Vandalism at Randalls Bridge

(NEW YORK, NY, 12/5/18) -- The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the anti-Muslim vandalism scrawled on Randalls Bridge in Manhattan.
A passerby walking through Randalls Park stated he was surprised to see the words "Kill Muslim" written in black paint at the base of the bridge.

“Vandalism calling for violence against a faith community is serious and must be addressed by public officials," stated Afaf Nasher, executive director of CAIR-NY. "As hate crimes continue to rise, this deplorable message is an affront to the Muslim community and to our city. We thank the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force for initiating an investigation and expect the offender to be swiftly apprehended and prosecuted."
