CAIR-OH HOSTS PANEL ON 'PALESTINE: PEACE NOT APARTHEID'
(COLUMBUS, OH, 4/18/07) - The Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Ohio (CAIR-OH) hosted a panel discussion on President Jimmy Carter's current book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid."
The Panelists included OSU Professors John Quigley and John Mueller, both of whom have authored numerous books and articles, and CAIR-Ohio Board Member and published columnist Abukar Arman. The moderator of the panel was CAIR National Vice Chair Dr. Ahmad Al-Akhras.
More than 90 people filled the MLK Jr. Room in the Hale Black Cultural Center at The Ohio State University to attend the discussion.
The program was part of an ongoing series of CAIR-Ohio events aimed at presenting a balanced perspective on the Israel/Palestine issue in hopes of creating more awareness through education. Last year CAIR-Ohio hosted a "Palestine 101" teach-in for community activists.
