CAIR-OH to Host Forum on Life of Prophet Muhammad

(COLUMBUS, OH, 2/15/06) – The Columbus office of The Council on American-Islamic Relations, Ohio (CAIR-Ohio) announced today that it will host an educational forum on the life of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad on Sunday, February 26, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The forum is part of CAIR’s nationwide campaign in response to the Danish cartoon controversy. “The Muslim community would like to share with our neighbors information about the life of the Prophet Muhammad and why we hold him in such high regard,” said CAIR-Ohio (Columbus) Director Adnan Mirza. “With these events we hope to contribute to greater understanding in our community and turn some of the negativity we have all experienced into something positive.”

WHEN: Sunday, February 26, 2006, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
FORMAT: The event is free and open to the public. Dr. John Kashubeck will give a presentation which will be followed by a question and answer session and discussion. Refreshments will be provided.
