CAIR-PA: High School Students Visit Mosque

CAIR-PA: CONESTOGA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT UPPER DARBY MOSQUE

(PHILADELPHIA, PA, 4/30/07) - The Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) recently participated in a presentation about Islam and Muslims to Conestoga High School students at Masjid al-Madinah in Upper Darby, Pa.

"Visits by American high school students to local mosques are part of the outreach efforts organized by Muslims through their mosques in the Delaware Valley. The visits provide an insight to Pennsylvania students about their neighbors' faith traditions," said CAIR-PA Board member Mohammad Abdul-Aziz.

CAIR, America's largest Muslim civil liberties group, has 30 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
