CAIR Rep Trains Md. Law Enforcement, Community Leaders on Security for Houses of Worship

Zainab-COVE-conf(BALTIMORE, MD, 5/8/14) -- Zainab Chaudry, chair of the Maryland outreach office of CAIR, earlier this week provided training on threat and security assessment at houses of worship to law enforcement and community members at the Coalition Opposed to Violence and Extremism's (COVE) 2014 Hate Crimes Summit held at Towson University in Maryland.

This year's summit, "Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide - Mass Violence in Public Places," was attended by some 350 law enforcement officers, elected officials and community leaders. Speakers included representatives from DHS, the FBI, and local and state law enforcement agencies, as well as mental health professionals and school administrators. (Full statement)
