CAIR Sponsors Forum on Policing in D.C.

Forum(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/9/2015) - On September 15, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is co-sponsoring a town hall forum on policing in Washington, D.C.  The goal of the forum is to provide a safe space in which members of the South Asian, Arab and Muslim communities can express their comments and concerns about interactions with D.C. Metropolitan Police Department officers and officials as complainants, witnesses, detainees, and arrestees.

WHERE:  Impact Hub, 419 7th Street NW, Suite 300 in Washington, DC.

WHEN:  Tuesday, September 15, 6:30 – 9 p.m.

The town hall is being co-sponsored by the ACLU of the Nation's Capital (ACLU-NCA), National Coalition to Protect Civil Freedoms (NCPCF), Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim American Women’s Policy Forum (MAWPF), South Asian American Leaders Together (SAALT), Washington Peace Center (WPC), and American Anti-Arab Discrimination Committee (ADC). 

This event is one of a series of forums co-sponsored by the ACLU-NCA that explores the issues of police community relations.
