Dr. John Esposito to Speak at CAIR-Columbus Banquet

CAIR-logo(Columbus, 4/11/13) -- On Sunday April 21, the Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OHIO) will hold its 16th Annual Civil Rights Banquet, with the theme "Upholding Our Constitution, Defending Our Faith," at the Ohio Union.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. John Esposito, professor of religion and international studies at Georgetown University, and founding director of the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. For entertainment, guests will hear a live performance from nationally-recognized comedian, Amer Zahr.

Event proceeds will fund CAIR-Columbus's civil rights advocacy, educational outreach, and other community programs.
