Firebombs Thrown at Texas Islamic Center

A man allegedly threw two makeshift firebombs at the Islamic Center of El
Paso near Downtown at 2:35 p.m. Friday, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was in custody and under
investigation by the FBI and police late Friday. He was facing arson and
possibly other charges.

The man was arrested after allegedly throwing two bottles of gasoline at
the center. The bottles didn't ignite, and no one was injured. Police found
the suspect in the neighborhood.

In April, a man was arrested by the FBI for sending an e-mail threat to the
Islamic center
