Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install, configure software and hardware and test computer-related equipment
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems (PCs and Mac)
  • Monitor the desktops daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
  • Troublshoot LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Create and verify backups of data
  • Help set up user accounts and workstations
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 1-3 years of general IT support experience
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016
  • Knowledge and support of various mobile email devices (iOS, Android, etc.)
  • Knowledge of hardware (desktop/laptop) installation / removal of hard drive, memory, etc.
  • Ability to utilize and troubleshoot various applications used by staff
  • High level of client service orientation a must
  • Ability to handle conflict and difficult situations within a technical and client service environment
  • Effective communication abilities to all levels of personnel
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology within the organization
  • Ability to quickly diagnose, organize, and prioritize competing deadlines and properly setting service expectations with clients
  • Self-motivated and the ability to execute tasks and make decisions in a high-pressure environment

Required experience:

  • IT support: 1 year
  • Technical Support: 1 year
  • Certifications a plus (A+, Network +,MOS, ITIL Foundations, etc)
