A 32-year-old man was the victim of a racial attack in Queens Sunday.
The incident took place at about 5:30 p.m. on the corner of 46th Street and Queens Boulevard.
Police said a white male approached an Asian male, spat an anti-Muslim slur at him, then struck him in the face, causing a minor injury.
The man then ran away on 46th Street. The victim refused medical attention at the scene of the assault. Police are investigating the incident as a possible bias attack.
The incident comes amid rising reports of attacks aimed at Muslims in the wake of the killings of American hostages in Iraq.
