(DALLAS, TEXAS, 8/23/16) – The Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-DFW) today welcomed the arrest of a man who allegedly threatened to decapitate congregants at a mosque in Watauga, Texas.
In a statement, CAIR-DFW Executive Director Alia Salem said:
“Any individual or group seeking to harm or instill fear in a community must be held accountable by law enforcement authorities. We welcome the arrest of this suspect and hope that other like-minded individuals may be deterred from acting similarly knowing this behavior is criminal and not to be taken lightly.”
