(SACRAMENTO, CA, 9/27/07) – On Wednesday, September 26, several state legislators co-hosted the 4th annual Iftar, or Ramadan fast-breaking meal, with the California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA) at the California State Capitol.
Members of the legislature also issued a Members’ Resolution in honor of the event. Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic lunar calendar during which Muslims abstain from food, drink and other sensual pleasures from break of dawn to sunset.
