(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/11/19) – – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on law enforcement authorities to investigate a shooting attack targeting an Ohio synagogue as a possible hate crime.
At least two dozen bullets were fired through the windows of Temple Beth Israel-Shaare Zedek in Lima, Ohio, on Friday night. No one was injured in the attack.

“We condemn this attack on a house of worship, express our solidarity with the Ohio Jewish community and urge state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate the incident as a possible hate crime,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
CAIR has witnessed an unprecedented spike in bigotry targeting American Muslims and members of other minority groups since the election of Donald Trump as president.
