The Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), a chapter of the Nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned an alleged assault targeting an Asian-American veteran in Chicago.
An Asian-American veteran was reportedly assaulted outside a grocery store in Chicago’s South Loop. A group of 7-10 men reportedly approached the man and one of them called him an anti-Asian slur. The man said he was pulled from behind and surrounded by the group, before being dragged to the ground and losing consciousness. Police are investigating the incident.
