“We stand in solidarity with the victim, Trinity Washington, and her family, and we demand justice for this horrific act.

Furthermore, we join their demand for the state’s attorney to upgrade charges against the perpetrators to ensure they face the full extent of the law for this allegedly hate-fueled crime.
“Hate crimes have no place in our communities, and we call upon our fellow citizens to stand united against discrimination, bigotry, and violence. CAIR-Chicago remains dedicated to advocating for justice and equality for all, and we will continue our work to combat hate in all its forms.”
He said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging white supremacy, anti-Jewish hate, anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and all other forms of bigotry.
