CAIR-Cincinnati Honored as Freedom Station

CAIR-CINCINNATI HONORED AS FREEDOM STATION

(CINCINNATI, OH, 4/19/07) – The Cincinnati office of CAIR-Ohio was recently honored by the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center as a Freedom Station partner.

CAIR-Cincinnati was honored along with 19 other local organizations whose work challenges illiteracy, hunger, racism, slavery and tyranny.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the Freedom Center as a partner in the important work they do for freedom,” said CAIR Cincinnati Chairperson Zeinab Schwen.

CAIR, America’s largest Islamic civil liberties and advocacy group, has 32 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
