(BOULDER, CO, 9/28/2023) – The Colorado chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CO) today condemned vandalism targeting a Latter-Day Saints church in Berthoud.
The Larimer Co. Sheriff’s Office is investigating the vandalism of the church, which occurred some time before Wednesday morning. Graffiti including anti-LDS statements and obscene images and language was spray painted on the parking lot of the church and on a vehicle parked across the street.

“No house of worship should be defiled with bigoted graffiti,” said CAIR-CO Board Chair Krista Cole. “We stand in solidarity with the LDS community and urge law enforcement to be swift and thorough in their investigation of this hateful attack.”
She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
