In a statement, CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:

“We commend New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern for her service, especially her reaction to the white supremacist Christchurch massacre.

“By forcefully condemning Islamophobia, warmly embracing New Zealand’s Muslim community, and banning weapons of war to prevent future acts of mass violence, Prime Minister Ardern set an international standard for how nations should counter anti-Muslim bigotry.

“As the threat of global Islamophobia persists, leaders around the world should learn from Prime Minister Ardern’s example.”

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
