CAIR Condemns Alleged Racist Comments by School Staff Targeting Wisc. Native-American Student

(WASHINGTON, D.C, 2/10/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned racist remarks allegedly made by a school staff member to a Native-American student in Black River Falls, Wisc.

During lunch time, the student reportedly asked the staff member a question for some help. The staff member responded by allegedly saying “You don’t care. I don’t care if you get a D minus. You’re Native, right? So just … collect a check, don’t give two [expletive] about your future? So why should I care?” The response was reportedly caught on video. The Black River Falls School District said the staff member is currently on administrative leave.

He noted that yesterday, CAIR-AZ condemned a racist incident targeting a group of Native-American performers.
