(WASHINGTON D.C., 3/22/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned a noose hung at a Facebook data center construction site in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
Mortenson Construction, the contractor building the data center, is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the person responsible for the noose. This is not the first racist incident to take place at the construction site. In November, the words ‘kill all n*****s 11/29’ were found written at the site.

“We condemn this disturbing act of hate and – given the prior history of racist incidents at this site – we urge law enforcement authorities to launch a hate crime investigation,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison.
He noted that CAIR condemned the racist graffiti at the site last November.
