CAIR Condemns Vandalism of New Hampshire Christian Pregnancy Center, Welcomes Hate Crime Probe

(WASHINGTON D.C., 7/1/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned vandalism targeting a Christian pregnancy center in Littleton, N.H., and welcomed a hate crime investigation into the incident.

The Pathways Pregnancy Care Center, a Christian organization, was targeted with graffiti that read ‘fund abortion, abort God.’ Police were reportedly informed of the vandalism on Tuesday. Police are currently investigating whether the vandalism constitutes a hate crime.

“We condemn this hateful attack on a faith-based institution and urge law enforcement to conduct a swift and thorough investigation,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “Regardless of one’s views on abortion, attacks on religious institutions should never be tolerated if we are to move forward as a just society.”

Hooper noted that on Tuesday, CAIR-New York condemned threatening graffiti that was scrawled on an Upper West Side church’s door, which ominously read, “If abortion isn’t safe, neither are you.”
