CAIR-CT: Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Allies to Speak Out Against Trump Administration Travel Ban

CAIR logoSupporters of civil rights and liberties will hold a press conference on Wednesday, March 8, to speak about their opposition to President Trump’s latest executive order restricting travel from six majority Muslim countries.

 Joining three civil rights and liberties organizations will be Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Senator Gary Winfield.

Trump’s new executive order cuts the number of refugees the U.S. will take in this fiscal year from 110,000 to 50,000 and bans all refugee admissions for four months. The order singles out individuals from six overwhelmingly

 Muslim countries, as promised in the President’s repeated pledges to institute a Muslim ban.
