(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/21/2023) – On Saturday, Feb. 25, (6-7:30 p.m. ET) CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell plans to serve as a panelist at a virtual town hall hosted by the Muslim political organization Emgage to honor the legacy of Black Muslims.
The event, designed to mark Black History month, will discuss “the legacy of Black Muslims, their history and contributions to America and the importance of building bridges to establish stronger alliances while addressing anti-Black racism in Muslim American communities.”
Along with CAIR’s Mitchell, the town hall “will feature Black Muslim elected officials, comedians, poets, Imams, and other community leaders.”
