CAIR-DFW: Dallas Community to Hold Rally in Support of Rohingya Muslims

(DALLAS, TEXAS, 9/15/17) — On Sunday, September 17, a coalition of local organizations, including the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR-DFW), will hold a rally to bring awareness and call for an end to the violence and ethnic cleansing targeting Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

“We at CAIR-DFW express our deep concern about the violence in Myanmar, including reports of possible genocide in the region,” said Delhi Ekambo, government affairs coordinator at CAIR-DFW. “We join with fellow DFW organizations to call on our elected officials to intervene and demand that the Myanmar government put an end to the violence and allow immediate relief to reach the Rohingya Muslims.”
