“What better way to honor the victims of those terrible attacks than to be united, volunteer, and give back,” said Faizan Syed, Executive Director of CAIR-DFW. “September 11 is a National Day of Service, and I believe that this is one of the best ways to heal from that tragedy and look to building a better future.”
“On this somber occasion, we are proud to provide these care packages to the victims of the hurricane and to welcome Afghans to our community,” said ICNA National Director of Refugee Facilitation Hala Halabi. “As a proud American-Muslim, I believe all of us can volunteer and give back on this anniversary to make America a better nation for all.”
