“Only when people of all faiths and backgrounds unite together and demand change will we see that change,” said Mustafaa Carroll, outreach consultant with CAIR-DFW. “This is a generational battle for justice and equality. We want the community in Arlington to know that black lives matter and the status quo cannot continue.”
“The struggle against racism in our nation is a struggle that all of us must support,” said Morjan Altaweel, an organizer for the rally. “We are here to say that we stand with our brothers and sisters in the African American community against Police brutality and we want our elected officials to take meaningful steps to address this crisis.”
