The Houston office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Houston) encourages community members to donate blood for the surviving victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting that occurred this morning.
Gun shots were fired early morning at a high school in Santa Fe Texas, not long after 1st period classes started.
At least 10 students were killed before a suspect could be arrested. Currently two students have been detained as suspects who are also believed to have been students at the school.
Many were injured in the active shooting. CAIR-Houston encourages community members to donate blood to the victims. Find A Blood Center Near You.
CAIR-Houston sends condolences to all the families and victims of this tragic event, including the family of Sabika Sheikh who was in America through the YES Exchange Program. She was planning to return to Pakistan on Eid.
CAIR-Houston will also be participating in Wear Orange: Family Day in the Park in partnership with Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America on June 2 in Finnigan Park at 9a.m. where Bystander Training information and signup for community workshops will be provided by CAIR-Houston Attorney Arsalan Safiullah.
