(WASHINGTON D.C., 12/13/2021) – The Kentucky chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kentucky) today called on all Kentuckians – and all Americans – to offer whatever support they can for those impacted by recent deadly tornadoes that swept through the state.
At least 100 are feared dead after a tornado outbreak ripped across eight states over the weekend. At least 64 are known to be dead in Kentucky, according to Governor Andy Beshear. People are urged to donate to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund, established by Governor Beshear to provide assistance to those affected by the tornadoes.

“We urge our fellow Kentuckians, and all Americans, to offer any support they can to those affected by these tornadoes,” said CAIR-Kentucky Board Chair Salah Shakir. “We pray that God grants aid and solace to the victims and their families.”
