(FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – 10/26/16) â€“Â The MichiganÂ chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today released a 2016 Muslim Voter GuideÂ that provides information about the upcoming November election in Michigan.
The 2016 Muslim Voter GuideÂ includes information about how state and federal legislators voted on key civil rights issues to better educate Michigan Muslims before the elections next month.Â
â€œThe CAIR-MI voter guide was compiled to highlight issues that are important to Michigan Muslims as well as Michiganians from other faiths who are concerned about civil rights,” said CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid. Â “It is crucial that our community is aware of the votingÂ records of the elected officials representing them during this election season.”
Hard copies of the 2016 Muslim Voter GuideÂ will be distributed at mosques statewideÂ and will be available at the CAIR-MI office in Farmington Hills.
The 2016 Muslim Voter GuideÂ is part of a continuing initiative of CAIR-MI to educate, engage, and empower Michigan Muslims in the 2016 election cycle.Â Â
