CAIR-Michigan Calls for Federal Hate Crime Probe of Pro-Trump Vandalism Targeting Jewish Cemetery, Offers Reward for Info

(CANTON, MI, 11/3/20) – The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today called on federal law enforcement authorities to investigate the recent desecration of a Jewish cemetery in Grand Rapids, Mich., as a hate crime.

CAIR-MI is also offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who contacts law enforcement authorities with information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

Six gravestones at a Jewish cemetery were found yesterday with “TRUMP” and “MAGA” spray-painted on them prior to President Trump speaking in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids police are currently investigating the vandalism.
