(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 6/11/20) – Later today, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota) will join a collation of other civil rights organizations and Former NBA Player Stephan Jackson and his colleagues for a Rally in Minneapolis to demand the changes needed to ensure police accountability, address police brutality, misconduct and abuse of authority in the state of Minnesota.

In a statement, CAIR-Minnesota Executive Director Jaylani Hussein said:
“Our current system has laws, policies and procedures that must be changed. We are concerned that the movement demanding justice could be co-opted by failed political leaders who now want to champion policies that are watered down, as well as organizations that are only interested in perpetuating the status quo.”
