(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 7/2/20) — Later today, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota) will partner with the Zakat Foundation of America to distribute food boxes for some 1000 families in rural Minnesota.
CAIR-Minnesota and the Zakat Foundation will distribute fresh vegetables to communities in St. Cloud, Willmar, Faribault, and Rochester. Additionally, CAIR-Minnesota will provide educational reminders about the 2020 Census, the importance of voting and voter registration and about COVID-19 safety protocols.
WHEN/WHERE: The unloading and distribution begins at 10 a.m. at the Islamic Center of St. Cloud, 712-722 17th Street, and at 1-1:30 pm at Masjid AbuBakr Al-Seddig in Rochester, (17 West Broadway).
CAIR-Minnesota is also partnering with other local organizations and volunteers to help distribute the food to families in need.
