(St. Louis, Mo., 4/18/2023) – The Missouri chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MO), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the shooting of Ralph Yarl, a Black adolescent from Kansas City.
Yarl reportedly went to the wrong Kansas City address to pick up siblings and was shot by an 84-year-old White homeowner through a locked glass door. The man told police they didn’t exchange words before shots were fired. The homeowner faces two felony charges for assault in the first degree and armed criminal action.
