(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 3/21/17) – On Saturday, March 25, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN), the largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will hold an event aimed at challenging Islamophobia and defending civil rights.

The event will feature noted Muslim scholar Dalia Mogahed, Gold Star father Khizr Khan, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Civil Rights Leader Nekima Levy-Pounds, and other politicians and entertainers such as comedians Jeremy McLellan and Danish Maqbool, to inspire and energize people into ACTION.
This unique event will be a rallying cry to all who believe in religious freedom for Muslims and Americans of all faiths. CAIR-MN is hosting this event not only as a fundraiser and conference, but as a kick-off to its bold campaign to activate 10,000 Minnesotans in the fight against bigotry and hatred.
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
