NEW YORK – In the wake of the Supreme Court upholding President Trump’s discriminatory Muslim Ban, the New York Civil Liberties Union, the Council on American-Islamic Relations-New York, and the Muslim Bar Association of New York will host a community forum on Thursday June 28 to discuss the implications of the ruling and next steps in the courts, in the legislature and in the streets.
The forum will bring together Muslim, Arab, Iranian, Middle Eastern, and South Asian community members and allies to create a space of solidarity, support, and discussion. Know Your Rights materials and Arabic interpretation will be provided with support from the NYC Human Rights Commission. Farsi and ASL interpretation will also be provided.
