(CINCINNATI, OH, 8/30/07) – The Cincinnati office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Cincinnati) is calling on Muslims in the Cincinnati area to help raise breast cancer awareness by taking part in the upcoming ‘Race for the Cure’ event on Sunday, September 9.
Muslim participation in the event is part of CAIR’s third annual summer-long “Muslims Care” campaign designed to encourage volunteerism in the American Muslim community.
“We encourage Muslims and others in the Cincinnati area who are concerned about breast cancer to join the Race for the Cure or to support those who are taking part,” said CAIR-Cincinnati Executive Director Karen Dabdoub.
WHEN: Sunday, September 9, 2007; registration begins at 7 a.m.; the non-competitive 5k walk begins at 9:45 a.m.
