In a statement, CAIR-Ohio Outreach and Government Affairs Director Whitney Siddiqi said:

“CAIR-Ohio stands in solidarity with Black students at Colerain High School and throughout the Greater Cincinnati region. Black students have the right to an education without fear of harassment.

“At a time when governments are attempting to ban conversations about racism in the classroom and public figures fan the flames of conspiracy theories, we continue to see overt racist attacks on our students and our communities.

“Our schools must do more to protect Black students and commit to anti-racism as part of curriculum and culture, beyond diversity and inclusion initiatives. Hatred, racism, and bigotry have no place in our classrooms, and it is the responsibility of our schools to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.”

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
