(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 10/26/2022) – The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) joined community partners yesterday to hold its inaugural Candidate Open House, a meet-and-greet event featuring candidates for local and state offices.
CAIR-OK and community partners hosted a nonpartisan candidate open house, with candidates for local and state races invited to set up tables and have direct conversations with voters. Nearly 50 people attended to meet with candidates, sign up to volunteer, and learn more from the half-dozen nonprofit issue-area organizations who also tabled at the event.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
