“We were inspired to see hundreds of people ,including clergy and elected officials from all faith backgrounds, join this afternoon’s Unity Rally,” said CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo. “That our event outnumbered the anti-Muslim protestors more than twenty-to-one sends a strong message about the Silicon Valley and this region’s rejection of hate.”
“People are hungry to come together and speak a word of love and unity. We did that today and it was beautiful,” said Multifaith Voices for Peace & Justice Convener Rev. Diana Gibson. “We stand with our Muslims friends and neighbors. The fibers of our community are strong.”
