CAIR-SFBA Condemns Carving of Nazi Swastikas on Vehicles in Berkeley

(SANTA CLARA, CA, 7/19/22) – The San Francisco Bay Area Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemns the carving of Nazi swastikas on vehicles near Monterey and Colusa Avenue in North Berkeley.

Jules Kragen, whose family is Jewish, found the disturbing sight on the side of his car Sunday morning. Three cars parked in a row were vandalized. A fourth car had a window smashed by a brick. Jewish residents live in at least two of the households impacted. Police are investigating this incident as a hate crime.
