CAIR: Shot Fired at Texas Mosque

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/16/07) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations today called on local law enforcement authorities to investigate a shooting at a Texas mosque as a possible bias-motivated crime.

A shot from a “high-caliber weapon” hit the Islamic Center of South Texas in Corpus Christi Friday afternoon. Initial reports indicated there were two shots, but investigators were only able to locate damage from one hit. FBI agents took part in the investigation of the shooting.
